摘要(Abstract)：

弗里德曼将其对货币数量论的经典性复述视为当时芝加哥被遗忘的"口述传统"的爆发,这一观点遭到帕廷金的强烈攻击。帕廷金对弗里德曼的批评后来得到哈里.约翰逊和萨缪尔森的进一步强化,这似乎使弗里德曼的"学术欺诈"成为事实。然而,将早期芝加哥学派的货币思想与弗里德曼观点进行本质上的衔接后,就会发现帕廷金批评事实上是对真实芝加哥货币传统的重大误解与遗漏。
